| I am an Embedded Systems Engineer. I think you should go with the Network Engineer career. More and more embedded systems work is being moved offshore, while network engineering is highly site-specific, so it is difficult to move that job offshore. In fact, a network engineer should be able to find a job just about anywhere in the world-- (just like a chef or an accountant, but more money and more fun).
