| Thanx a lot guys for all of yours feedback, I have also checked one of the previous discussions on "http://www.edaboard.com/ftopic261160.html" and as you've said it is the Proakis' and Oppenheim's books.

| "digital signal processing" authored by "oppenhiem" covers almost every aspect of the issue both theoretical and practical. and it aslo has lots of examples and practice problems.

| John_OR, I haven't found this book to download so I bought it some years ago. There is a book here at EDA that has kind of the same content, is very similar, but the difference is that the Orfanidis book has a lot of code examples in C and Matlab.

One annoying thing about Oppenheim and Schaffer is their switch in notation.
Their Signals book uses small omega as continuous time frequency, capital omega as discrete time frequency.
Their DSP book uses small capital omega as continuous time frequency, small omega as discrete time frequency.
I have come to expect differences in notation, but by the same authors?
Both good nonetheless.

I found a free book that is very nice to read, very easy of understand, I really recommend (and is free!):
http://www.dspguru.com/info/books/favor.htm
It have practical examples, easy of implement code for computer like the old Quick Basic but it was for me very helpful.
