Hi,
I need to use 7805 series able to varies the output current from 0.05Amp to 0.95Amp, the resistance of the load is 3.6 ohms.

If I use the schematics (circuit 1 or circuit 2), Can I vary the current or not? How about the output Voltage?
Will it be 5V or it will drop? How about the Power rating for the Potentiometer?

Or Do you have any recommended solution to varies the output current?

Thanks,
Rafiq

Hi,

If I'm correct in understanding what you're asking then no.

You can supply a varying current, but the voltage will have to vary also.

Ohms law is going to dicatate this.

You could look up some schem, atics for current sources and use the 7805 as the voltage source in the circuit, but the V=IR rule will have to apply to the load circuit.
