Post29 Jun 2008 3:25   DXP 2004 - How to fill in title block items ?

I am using DXP 2004 (build 8.0.4.1272) and have not been able to figure out how to set the title block items - such as "Title", "Drawn by" ... etc.

I saw somewhere else that I had to check the box named "convert special strings".
I tried that - no luck.

I saw somewhere else that the entries I add to Document Options - Parameters only show up once the document is printed. I tried that - no luck.

Any help is appreciated !

Are you talking about title block entries on a schematic sheet, or on a PCB?

The title block uses parameters that are identified with special strings. With "Convert Special Strings" turned off, you should be able to see the special strings in the title block. They will look like =ApprovedBy, =Date, etc. If they haven't been put in the proper title block spaces, you won't see anything. You can place them manually by using Place>>Text, hitting "Tab", and then looking in the scroll box in the dialog.

The special strings that match the entries in Document Options will be automatically filled in. If you turn "Convert Special Strings" back on, you'll see the actual data.
