Question regarding Miller Capacitance

The attached graph is from W. Sansen book, page 189 and I am a bit confused, on one hand, the text in the book seems to suggest that the rule of thumb is that Cc should be smaller than CL, on the other hand, the gm chart seems to indicate that the optimum Cc is about 4x of CL, my question is that what is the primary consideration to determine the Cc value, and what is the major benefit to have gm1=gm6 as the chart suggests?

Also, if Cc can be so optimally calculated from Gm curves, why do we have to make any assumptions to begin with?

Question regarding Miller Capacitance
Primary concern to decide value of Cc is the bandwith and required phase margin. and major benefit of gm1=gm6 is the improved stability. cutthe draw back is reduced bandwith comparatively.
