| Maybe you need to find a professional engineering (PE) website or forum. This site is more for electronics and electronic design.

thanks niktesla.a
actually i am almost a fresh graduated electrical engineer , and working in a real estate company as a QC/QA electrical engineer , most of the projects that we have right now are in first stage , so we have to make the earthing rods network and lightning protection network .
project that i am responsible of at this stage is the marriott hotel , and recently we start to install cable trays and emt pipes .
things are going well , but still i guess that i need some knowledge to have , so is there any books that can give such a knowledge ?! or is it a pure standards issue that could be achieved with time !!!
thanks again niktesla.a

Sorry, but first of all, rods are grounding not earthing. The Earth is the planet and ground in electrical engineering means surface with zero potential that able to maintain this zero potential even when huge current flows. You need to check NEC and local laws, every county may have some differences (if you are in US). I am an old electrical engineer, but I cannot tell you exactly what is the rules because every country, city and county has its own rules and laws. Also I doubt that grounding and lightning protection cables may be put into pipes. In European countries it was strictly prohibited, at least when I worked as an electrical engineer. Definitely, you need to check all the laws that applicable in your area.
Best regards,
RF-OM
