Hi,
Can anyone please tell me what is the maximum data transfer rate that can be achieved between PC and SoC using USB?
Any proposals which USB Hi-Speed IP block should be used to achieve highest data throughput between PC and SoC?
Thank you.

Typically, the USB througput is limited below the theoretical capacity by the PC driver. This should be considered when designing an application that depends on a certain troughput.
It should be more easy to achieve a defined behaviour at the SoC side, particularly with a hardwired FPGA solution.
Cypress has released an application note about USB high speed troughput. Their devices (operated in DMA mode) didn't constrain it. The AN is also discussing the overhead for different transfer block sizes.

Any hint how to find the AN that you mentioned or even better a link to it?
Thank you.

Dear Sir
We , as a development team of students, have developed a complete reference design using Cypress SX2 High Speed USB device.
The design uses a Spartan-3 FPGA connected to SX2 in order to control the device and send/receive data
We have published the complete work, along with documentation, source codes and every thing needed to do the task to Circuit Cellar magazine. We hope that they publish the paper soon, after that you can see, how easily you can reach rates above 400MBits/s using USB 2.0 SX2 controller
