Hi all,
I just want to know if auto router (especially Allegro )is used by many?
Is that gives the expected routing results?
Those who opt for auto routing, are you using any techniques/procedures to get the best output. Please share your thoughts and knowledge here.
Thanks & Regards,
Psr

hi
auto routing is not good for all designs, if board is small you can do it, but it is not recomended.

It is usually not a good idea to auto route the whole board.
If you prefer to auto route. First route all clock and critical signals manually and lock them. Then let the auto-router route the non-critical signals.
IMO auto-routers are good for routing memory patterns but thats about it.

Hi
I agree with ramesh autorouting is good for small boards with less constraints if constraints increases it is difficult to get the finish that we want
in complex boards it is not reccomandable
