As i m new in mcu field and do not know much about these. i found very projects regarding 8051 but the mcu used is not 8051 it is AT89C2051 ,AT89S52 or any other similar mcu I want to know that these mcus fall in 8051 or these are independent mcus.

These are the independent MUs of family 8051. Why dont you study 8051 from Makanzi?

those are the same mcu, AT89S52 is still inherit 8051 (as the AT89C2051 too, but with fewer pins), more powerfull though.

slam
All of these controllers belong to same family, same core ,but different features,
for example 8051 contains rom for program memory, while 89c51 is flash based,u can reprogram, c reffers to cmos technology, similarly 89c52 is the version with extended memory ,and additional timer, and 89c2051 is the 20 pin version, with some limitations, also 89s52 is the one with serial programming facility using spi(In System Programmable ISP) ,do read datasheet or search on google for exact details lots of example for each one available

Whether it is AT89C2051, AT89S52 or any similar mcu, these all have same architecture

8051

Those names are the generic names of 8051 family. Try to purchase Mohammed Ali Mazidi and Janice Gillespie Mazidi and Kenneth J.Ayala. These two books help u a lot. U can independently program if u master those books.
