The normal anti-static strip which we can tie on our hand has a wire for grounding. However, I saw some "wireless" anti-static strip.
Is that really useful? Without the grounding wire, how can it conduct the excessive electronic away? What is the theory behind?
Thanks

| Theoretically the electrostatic charges could be dissipated through air, if the air is made conductive by ionizing radiation. A Staticmaster cleaning brush for photographers works with Polonium-210 like that. Still I would not want to keep a piece of radioactive material strapped tightly around my hand for any significant time, especially not the whole day.
