| It's very hard to have a future for this technology, mostly because of standart's lacks and high power consumption for mobile versions. Practically, it's hard to make to work several subscribers and base stations from different vendors. Even if they all are certified. And also there is a big competition with UMTS and LTE in future.

| All of these technologies have a future, but not as bright as the promoters claim. They will mostly be used in parts of the world that do not have a wired telephone network (which can use DSL).
