HI......
is there anyone who knows about AT89s51 USB programmer???... if someone does, can you post some info here how to build it... COz' i confuse how to download program using my laptop..... THANK YOU

I have programmed Atmel microcontrollers in the past using In-System programming in conjuction with my laptops serial port. If you do a search on the internet you will find many usefull documents!
Added after 42 seconds:
Using a simple 6-pin header connector pinout, used by the AT90ISP cable, the AVR In-System programmer communicates serially with the AVR microcontroller and reprogrammes it.

Once i do have the same problem.
use usb to serial convertor. Most of the programmers will work fine with it.
There are lot of serial programmers available.

These is the programmer which i built and used it with usb to rs232

if you need an isp you can use
pony prog
(which i havnt tested with usb to rs232 but it should work)

serial ports are pretty hard to find on laptops these days, so it might be time to move on.
I do notice that Atmels programming software doesn't support all devices across all comm protocols to add a bit of challange.
That's one reason I keep an old clunker desktop with all your 'legacy' porting.
The 89S52 is SPI programmed, with Atmel's flip driving the signals through the printer port over it's ISPcable
I found this to be a quick and easy 2 hour project to build the cable/buffer combination, which I found elsewhere on this site.

There is a simple ISP programmer by Asim Khan, I tried version 3a, easy cheap and reliable.

Use the ISP, I did not try SPI, it is more comples than ISP. This needs printer port.
