On above link;Keil says that no additional specific driver is needed.Thus for my opinion,Keil got bored from cloned ulink copies thus wrote its own driver code for upgraded ulink-->ulink 2

ok...there seems to be a confusion....and please let this thread be linited to the ulink2 clone....if u want a debugger for pic search in another thread or open up a new 1 but please dont curropt this thread....
now for the confusion to be cleared:---
see the thing is when the ulink2 is connected to the pc it recognises itself as a human interface device and the lpc2148 chip contains some code in it's rom ...this code tells keil that the ulink2 module connected to it is original or not....this is wot we mean by firmware on the microcontroller side...now we need to work on this firmware.....
steps:
(1)--how to make the lpc2148 recognise itself as a HID under windows.
(2)how to make keil software realise that the ulink2 connected to it is an original 1...
any ideas???????

Hi,
thank you folks for the schematics.
Two of our ulink2 has broken down.
Probably One has schematics as you gave.
The other one has another ic just near the usb connector,which is named as ic7.
This ic in SOT23-5 package, and has "UL26" top side marking.
When we programming a device it has burned.I want to change this ic.
Does anyone has any suggestions.What is this ic ?
