How to call "function" to use in a program?

e.g. I am doing ofdm simulation and I have to make a function of "adding" into my program. So I do another m-file of this function. but how can I call this function to use in my main program?.

anybook that i can learn to be able to do this?

just like in C make one more function and call in your main.

more over u have lots and lots of inbuilt functions which u can use directly,for example in ur case(OFDM) ifft/fft etc....
