Hi,
I was searching for a soic wide 8 pins
IC with the following print on it.
"C5664
016
637"
Wonder if anyone is experience enough to
know what is the part number of this IC.
I tried to search the web, but nothing come close.
I believe it is MOSFET or similar kind of transistor.
Pin 2,3,4 are shorted.
Pin 5,6,7,8 are shorted too.
If possible I would also like to know if there
are other similar transistor with the same type of pin out.
I would like to try them out.

I KNOW LITTLE BIT ON MOSFET TRANSISTOR.
I USE THEM IN MY UPS PROJECT.
THEY ARE VERY CHIP & HIGH POWER DRIVER WITH A LITTLE SINK OF BASE CURRENT.SO NO ADDITIONAL DRIVER AT BASE NEEDED. THEY ALSO HAVE A CRITERIA LOW HIT PRODUCE DURING OPERATION . SO ADDITIONAL HEAT SINK RARELY USE WITH THEM.
ANOTHER TRANSISTOR WITH SAME FUNCTION & FACILITY IS IGBT. IT IS BETTER
THAN MOSFET TRANGISTOR.
MAKE A WEB SEARCH BY GOOGLE OR YAHOO !
YOU MAY HAVE LOT OF FUN.

It should be easy to find C and E, B is obviously 1.
Cross referencing might be a bit harder. You could fit maybe transistor and zener diode in standard cases instead. Vce0 is obviously higher than 110V.

Hi Sinisa,
I try searching on the web, but no info on 2SC5664.
Do you have information on the recommended IC
2SC5664 .
I would like to replace the burn IC on the circuit board.
Or is there any alternative IC you come across
having the same pin out.
What I find, is that the gate is normally in pin 4.
The IC on board I believe, as mention by you
is pin 1.

| This BJT is made by NEC and unfortunatelly they don't disclose full information on this part. Shorted pins are internally connected to collector and emitter and single pin that is not shorted to any others is base. Data from NEC states 110V zener diode between collector and emitter and that gives you idea of Vce0. This zener diode you can replace with regular zener and mount it externally and BJT with standard package BJT, look up Zetex for appropriate transistor. Current should be easy to find by measuring load and power supply.
