| I dont know about Market but I think its good to use Synopsys Design Compiler which is the same tool thats used in IC compiler and synopsys has a good sign off tool Primetime

Design Compiler from Synopsys is the best ASIC synthesis tool .. then comes RTL compiler from Cadence ..
For FPGA, Synplify is considered the best synthesis tool ..

In fact, Get2Chip has been renamed as "RTL Compiler" after acquired by Cadence.

| We use Synopsys Design Compiler and as long as worked perfectly. For Xilinx FPGA -> ISE. However, I have no experiences with another synthesis tools.

| LeonardoSpectrum is very useful synthesis tools. We compare different versions of DC and LeonardoSpectrum. Result: Leo is faster and more efficient

Leonardo Spectrum is no more used by companies in ASIC synthesis as it's not efficient .. DC is pioneer in that .. on the other hand, Leonardo is famous for FPGA synthesis .. same as Synplify ..

| i have done synthesis of a design on both the tools (DC &RTL compiler) observed that RTL gives some wht more area than DC, but the tech talk says in other way ,,, so how to ensure that we do a apple to apple comparision between the two synthesis runs
