FPC means Flat printed circuit cable.Its nthing but flexible PCB instead of Cable for interconnection>FFC means Flat Flexible Cable for same purpose.

FPC are usually used to connect serial or graphical LCD to the mother board where the components are alll small and no enough space to put bulky components. Since they are flexible they can be twisted or rolled into smaller size and put into the hardware.
