you can read them as l2 files .emn and emp as libary and component with
your WordPad but YOY can bulid them in Mech with program Colled PCB23D
and you can find at Solidedge site !

we get PRO/Engineer idf files and inport to wg2000 no problem. did not try to export

how to read idf files
Apparently from the Circuitworks brochure there is an IDF 4.0 format. From what I am reading it can actually pull in traces and copper. Kinda cool...
I would like to check it out further to see if one can insert parasitics and actually create simulation models from data.

The problem is that none of the major ECAD vendors are supporting 4.0 (http://www.priware.com/Common/Systems.aspx). Are any of the MCAD vendors?
