Post07 Mar 2008 6:03   Question about hsim?

When I run Hsim, I have a problem with output file *.fsdb.
Error bellow:
Error occurs when write fsdb file
System error number (errno): 27
error string = File too large
fsdb writer is going to sleep for 5 seconds, and then try again

Why error occurs? Please explain for me, thanks.

To: edacrack
I'm using hsim 2.0.

To: northeastl and gafsos
The error occurs when size of file *.fsdb is 2.14G, but size of disk is 4G.

Hi keoiuser,
If I use *.cou extension, i can view waveform in nWave?

Hi gafsos,
I must check my models, why? If models have problem, then hsim will stop run and report error.
My netlist without verilog models.
You can explain more clearly?
Thanks.

yes if you use .cou u can visualise your wave even if you simulation is on going, option that not allowed in .fsdb. but this in ezwave viewer in Cadence, what do u mean by nWave?is it a wave viewer of Cadence also?

If I define .param hsimoutput=fsdb in my netlist, then extension of output file *.fsdb. So, if I use *.cou, what must I do?
nWave viewer is a tool of Synopsys, not Cadence.
