anyone can use modelsim5.6e in redhat8.0?

Post07 Dec 2002 21:52   anyone can use modelsim5.6e in redhat8.0?

I install modelsim 5.6e in redhat 8.0, but when i run it, it crashed, error message as following:

Signal 11 caught in vish
Bad pointer access... Closing vish.

** Fatal: Trouble with User Interface.
** Fatal: vsim is exiting with code 218.

I can use modelsim5.6e in redhat7.3, can anyone help me?

Its your license file. It appears to work, but whenever you try to open some waves it crashes with no license error. Do you got Avanti HSPICE? Or some Asic layout software for linux? Maybe we can do some trading...PM me.

Hello,

U need a license for vsim viewer also (i mean included in ur license).. Otherwise, Modelsim 5.6 wont start at all....

Sorry, I dont have it right now...just heared about this...
