Probably not cheapest, but good performance, based on Chipcon/TI-IC

Search for a transceiver in this frequency, it should be easy to find. From what I know, hopeRF, wavecom and SIM are quiet cheap.

cc1100 is a good choice. Also, accel semiconductor has AS6801 transceiver can work at 433MHz.

How much does the AS6801 cost and you have a datasheet ?.

For rfPIC16F675F look here:

As a basic design decision, you should know if you need multi-channel capability. Then only synthesizer based transceivers, e. g. Chipcon are to choose from, rfPIC would be excluded. Said AS6801 has audio features, wouldn't expect it as a candidate for basic data communication, unless it has an extraordinary pleasant price.

nRF 401 FSK transciver seems to be good for
that ..

nRF401 is a dead product. You have to look at nRF905

Look here http://patenttrade.net/picoffer.htm for the RR4 Receiver module at $6.95 USD a transmitter is also listed for $5.95 but I can help you with a diagram and outlay using a BFR93 transistor and a 433 SAW filter, note the outlay is very important to limit harmonics, if I can help PM me and I will upload the goodies

y can do a vco as the transmitter, maybe this is the cheapest bu the performance is poor, or y can choose the NRF403 as the transceiver of the 433M
