I need to design the Embedded System that can recognize the user's voice. I know that the Microchip dsPIC30F/dsPIC33F Family devices have the speech recognition function with the Speech Recognition Application Library.
If I use this Speech Recognition Library, Can I be able to add my own words to the Library? So the System will recognize that word.
Which Microchip device should I use?
Which board and development tool kit do I need to have for designing and testing my Embedded System with the lowest cost?
Thankyou.

Hello,
I think you can use:
- Audio PICtail Plus Daughter Board (see: http://search.microchip.com/search?access=p&client=MicrochipWebsites&proxystylesheet=MicrochipWebsites&output=xml_no_dtd&site=MicrochipWebsites&q=70297a&ip=64.215.162.39&filter=p)
- AN687 http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1824&appnote=en011700
- AN699 http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1999&ty=&dty=§ion=&NextRow=&ssUserText=an699
- Filter lab program
I can't help you anymore.
Best regards

| I agree with funnynypd, use the Microchip demo solution. But be warned it's pretty advanced.
