17 Jan 2008 6:32 Capacity of 1 tap freq selective channel??? |
|
|
|
Hi,
I know that for system y(t) = h * x(t) + n (t) the capacity is
C = log2 ( 1 + (Po/No)*hh')
can anyone plz tell me the capacity formula for system with following equation
y(t) = x(t) * h1 + x(t-1) * h2 + h3*n(t-1) + n(t). --------------(1)
where n(t) is noise and n(t-1) is delayed noise.
x(t) is transmiited signal and x(t-1) is delayed transmitted signal
y(t) is recieved signal.
h1,h2 and h3 are quasi staic flat fading channels.
Also the above eq (1) can be conisdered as 1 tap freq selective channel.
Waiting......

Now you need to look at the problem from frequency domain. Basically, you will end up with an integral over frequency with the intergrand in the form of log(1+something).
It is not a new problem and if I remember correctly, you can find the exact answer in text book by T.Cover or by R.Gallager.
