Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate the effect of multipath fading on a RFID system used specifiaccly for EVI (electronic vehicle identification). I have successfully simulated the effect that the vehicles has on the antenna(s) radiation pattern.
However, I need to consider the multipath effect. How do I do this? Is there some sort of software package capable of doing this (I assume that this will have to be computed via raytracing) or will I have to write the code myself.
I have access to Comsol, SuperNEC 2.9 and HFSS v10. Prefereably I would like to use the SuperNEC package if at all possible.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers Slayer

I have figured out that by placing a recieving antenna on the vehicle I can determine the recieved power in that way. But how do you do this in either SuperNEC or HFSS
Cheers

Hi Slayer,
not sure if its of any help as this is not in your list of software but to show that it is possible to do it, see
http://www.feko.info/knowledge-base/quarterly/FEKO_Quarterly_December_2007.pdf
SuperNEC may have the same UTD ray tracing feature.
