guys checkout this reflow oven controller!!

works standalone or with a computer over USB and has complete software or write your own using microchip MCC18 C compiler.
it works really good i use it alot.

yes you can do BGA's, just be careful about placement...
you can reflow many many times....
i do 4 layer pcb's and components on both sides!! (chips too)
the surface tension of the solder paste holds them onto the board and pulls them onto the pads.

my reflow oven can do double sided boards!!
i do them all the time
and also 4 layers
can you do that in a frying pan?

i just did 64 pin TQFP with this reflow oven
thats 0.5 pitch

| We've soldered leadless DFN and QFN packages with 0.5 mm pitch by using a hot plate (somewhat similar to a frying pan).

hahahahah hey thats cool... yah leadless 0.5 on a frying pan eeeek!! DONT FLIP IT IN THE AIR HAHAHAHAHAHHhhahahahha

well you still cant do double sided on it!!!!
you can with a toaster oven reflow controller.
but with all respect, a hot plate is a cool idea and a cheap solution too.
but i love my toaster oven though.
i can do double sided SMD with same temp solder paste!!
yah i only use a frying pan for breakfast too hahaha
i just finished a 6 layer double sided board with lotsa 0.5 pitch parts!!!
its all in the stencil and the amount of paste..

also www.pcbcart.com is one of my fav china manufacturers..
they dont do assembly...
but for pcb production its pretty cheap!!
anyone got a cheaper china contact?

no not advertising...
but this is methods for making advanced prototypes at home...
i just did a 6 layer with 0.50 pitch at home
heres a picture of the results...
its only 2x2" and has 12 chips
oh yah and it has SMD on both sides

weve updated our software!!!
you can now create profiles upto 2 days in legth!
great for drying components and curing composite materials and other such uses beyong the simple reflow oven!!!
