bipolar or unipolar stepper motor


hello friends i m trying to build a micromouse and for that i m using a stepper motor,,,but i do not have much information about stepper motor
can anyone suggest me which motor will be better,,,kindly elaborate upon ur replies as i do not have much information about them..
If anyone who has already built a micromouse can suggest some of the ways it will b really helpful,,,

bipolar or unipolar stepper motor


unipolar is easyer as 4 transistors to ground are needed.
Bipolar needs 4 more to V+

Unipolors are easy to drive and have less torque

while bipolors are bit harder to drive and give good torque and speed.

Try google you will find lot more information about them.

come up with specific questions which will be easier to answer

thankyou friends,,,i think bipolar stepper motor will be better fo me as i require higher speed specifications,,,,
anyone who has already designed a bipolar stepper motor drive ckt. his suggestions are welcome

chk for L298 motor driver ic circuits.

It may be suitable upto 2Amps.
