electronics means 0 or 1 it has two status stages only remaining breaif deatails you can get from www.wikipedia.com

Electronics means: Study of electron or flow of electron. However todays world it is study of semiconductors and its related items and principle to govern them. etc etc

Electronics is the study of that.

I don't think so. Because a 20KV switch mode power supply is electronics etc etc. I have worked (design) a furnace with electronics devices having a power of 1.5MW (yes 1.5Mega Watt). This is not a low power. So the basic definition is as I wrote above or "the branch of physics that deals with the emission and effects of electrons and with the use of electronic devices" or "Electronics is the study of electron mechanics. Or the study of mechanism of flow of charge in various materials like semiconductors, resistors, nanostructures, vacuum etc." or and so on. An Encyclopedia can be consulted for basic definition.

i think study of semiconductors is not a different think. It is just a subtitle of the electronics Very Happy

Power diodes ?? They even work in the kV ranges :S

electronic is whatever deals with the bahaviour of electrons, like their effects, actions and reactions to other materials and also themselves. controlling and using electrons for speciffic puposes is also named electronics.

I believe electronics is the study of electrons only. Though todays definition of electronics is limited to srtudy of circuits with limited " current" capability. Higher current study is more commonly termed as electrical science.
