Post05 Oct 2007 10:56   about "press helped button"

Hi all,

I'm very sick about someone that for every paper uploaded, use to write ALWAYS
"press helped button !!"

This is a ridicule use of the forum

If, in my lab I give my aid to anyone who work here, I don't ask to the aided to
say me "thank you, helped me"

In the request section of the forum, when anyone do multiple paper request in one single post,
it's a lot a lot ridicule to reply with one post due to every paper, only to take a bit of "helped" more

I hope this situation will change because it's very embarrassing

And I would say too that if I, like some other user, reply to a request of paper, is
NOT to obtain a "helped" but because I consider this forum near like a virtual lab
where, compatibly with my availability, I'm joy to COLLABORATE with others.

Maybe this situation is ridiculous. However, the strong demand that is to gain more points donated by other ones is the suitable answer for that.

Provolone

I would think the individual would be happy to receive an answer which actually solved his or her problem. Opposed to a generic answer, which may have nothing to do with the actual situation, and posting a comment which he or she thinks may or may not have anything to do with the situation.

For Example:
Someone posted a question on a Flip-Flop ... regarding set-up-time. No one answered the question! They beat around the bush. I answered his question very clearly, regarding the relationship of clock and data.

Yes ... I received a Helped me. It made me feel happy, I could help another individual on this board.

Sorry for the long winded answer and comment!

THanks. I thought the report was the thanks button. Now my mind is clear.
I must have done sth wrong before for those buttons and reports.

the answer is very easy: I've take my Laurea in Telecommunication Engineering on the last 18 Feb 2008 and now I'm unemployed!!! now I'm sending my curriculum vitae all around Italy and I've a lot of free time to navigate on Internet in search of interesting things: what is most interesting than collaborate with EDAboard?! Bye, paolone from Pisa

You may not ask people to press the button, but they do it because they are grateful for your help.

It shows what a good guy you have been.
