fdfd code

the 2D FDFD is more efficient than FDTD, does anyone have the Matlab codes or
material on this method? I want to simulate the photonic crystal fiber.

I have some more papers, but I seem unable to upload them. If you send me your e-mail address, I will e-mail them to you directly.

Good luck!!

A full vector FEM is a good method for simulation of photonic crystal fibers.

Re: Does anyone have the 2D FDFD code?

You said you want to model photonic crystal fibers. Are you wanting to calculate waveguide modes and dispersion? Or, do you want to simulate propagation through bends or other discontinuity?

I recently taught a short course on FDFD. I placed my notes and example codes online at www.Kraetonics.com. They are free and anybody is welcome to them!! These FDFD codes model scattering, not waveguide modes, so they may not be what you are looking for. There are three programs; a polarizer, a photonic crystal, and a guided-mode resonance filter.

Hope this helps!
