Put the CD in the drive
and install It FIRST 
if u have use some other IDE's such as Visual studio,VC++ ,eclipse...then CCS doesnt look very diffrent..its just a good IDE.
Read the 'Getting started with CCS' pdf

If you cannot open the link then search for the document SPRU509
in TI home page u will get an understanding of the CCS.
