hi everyone,

what are the software recommendations for simulation of an ad hoc network protocol. i am running on windows. Please do comment. Thanks

I dont know about the windows platform....but there is "ns"-network simulator software for linux platform.

hi

you can use NS2 simulator to do this (NS2 works with linux), if you work with windows, you can also using NS2 simulator, but you should use whith it "Cygwin", interface that you make possibilty working with ns in windows.

ya definately for windows users cygwin is the only way as far as i know ...
hey anyone tried Opnet for manet simulation ?? ..i don't think it supports manets but still...ns would do the job

OPNET is a very good tool and it supports manet

OMNeT++ is also very useful and it is open source only.But for every software i.e Discrete event simulator we need to learn C++ .Then only we can do fastly our coding.
