Post27 Dec 2006 19:59   J1939 test environment

Hi,
I have to design various interfaces for automotive environment, to be connected to trucks working with SAE J1939 based busses. For testing purposes I will need a sw+hw tool for testing and simulating a real J1939 network. This tool is required to generate messages and interact with my interfaces in order to test them, as they were installed on real J1939 interfaces in trucks. Can anyone share any experience with such tools, where to purchase them, etc.?
Thanks,

/pisoiu

Now there is CAN evaluation network available from Au Group Electronics:

For customer test purpose, the network can be tunned to different speed. The J1939 runs at 250K, some Automotive CAN network runs at 500K.

The demo document gives a CAN network with 500K bps.
