hello everybody
regarding the FPGA synthesis, we can think about
various tools like FPGA express,Leonardo Spectrum or
synplicity tools. but the question is.. which of the
presently available tools is the best of all? i hope
that the experts who have worked on these tools can
give a comparative analysis.
waiting for the comments,

synplify is the best tool and FPGA express is obsolete.
recommend the synplify and synplify pro.

I used different FPGA synthesis tools and (for me) Synplicity Pro is definitively the best.
XST (quite slow and inaccurate, does not support record (sometimes useful for microprogramming) but free!)
FPGA Express (simple (sometimes too!), does not infer Virtex SelectRAM, on Win2K systems it is also instable)
Leonardo Spectrum (good)
Synplicity Pro (complete, good schematics, fast, support record and many features of all types of FPGA devices (I use Xilinx and they are well supported)).
Hi everybody!
PostScriptum: I'm comparing results of synthesis of the same block with the above-mentioned synthetizer so I will prove Synplicity is the best!

| Yes, synp1ify pro is best. XST is good too.

I agree with you. Synplify is definitely No.1

I used Leonardo for three years and for the last couple of years I have been using Synplify because of corporation issues.
I have to say that I still like Leonardo, I know Synplify is number 1 these days but seeing a presentation of Precision a while ago I just want to put my hands in Precision and give it a try
Has anybody used Precision here?

I used it but synplify is better than precision in my personal opinion.

In what aspects do you think synplify is better than Precision?
