For a VCO I measured in lab -30dBradČ/Hz of phase noise. Most of the examples I've seen express the phase noise in units of dBc/Hz, which I understand is the ratio of noise with respect of the carrier at a frequency offset.
What does radČ/Hz mean ??
regards !

Sounds like you measured integrated jitter instead. That's an unusual unit, what did you use to measure it?

| I used a vector signal analyzer Agilent 89410A. Want to measure the phase noise but the units radČ/Hz confuse me. Someone has used a similar instrument to obtain phase noise in dBc/Hz units ??

Play around with the marker menu. That is where Agilent likes to hide those sorts of things.
