good question for every electronic engineer
the technology used is cmos technology
its not BJT
now no more bjt in the chips because mosfet completely dominated in the integration part. so no more bjt.
and we allknow that cmos has static power consumption is zero.
thats the answer.

EETimes a couple months ago spoke about current research (IBM Zurich maybe) into molecular flip flops...
There is potential for molecular gates...
With these two, you can create a revolutionary processor. Based on the size of a molecule, incredibly small wavelength operation would be possible.
In my opinion, that's technology on the cutting edge.
Too bad Americans, for the most part, won't be employed in the development or the production of the products, unless we fully convert to Communism that is. (end of political blurb ...every once in a while I actually say in public what I believe...)

Mark Twain once said, "It is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

A shot across the bow eh?
This fool knows that "fool" is a relative term. Rather than speak in relative terms, what say you and I just watch what happens, k?
