Class Project :
Yarmouk Book Store (my university : yarmouk uni.) has over 50 sales agents across multiple locations. They have decided to implement an online sales program. The new Internet based sales program is expected to increase the sales volume and enhance the profit margin.
Note: they do not have a network system, nor they have the expertise to build system.
You are asked to head the project team and you are expected to generate the following:
1. A business case
2. A project charter
3. Project schedule
4. COST ESTIMATE (PROVIDE A DEFINITIVE COST ESTIMATE)
5. Communication plan
6. Project quality management plan (quality planning, quality assurance, quality
control)
Project Description
This project aims to build a broad networking system and to
develop a web-based application to enable a bookstore to
engage in E-commerce with its customers and suppliers, making it
easy for customers to search and/or purchase a book simply by
navigating through the web-site pages.
The idea of the project is to replace the 50 sales agents that are
distributed across multiple locations with a new Internet based
sales program that is expected to:
increase the sales volume and
enhance the profit margin.
Our work strategy as team members of a management organization
As a management organization with network knowledge, we decided to build the network system, and give the activity of implementing the e-commerce web-site to a third party (outsourcing),
