Hi
most networks allow hiding the caller's number. Try it yourself.
Type #31# and the called phone number, then press call. This will hide your number for the current call

it could be 2 cases - calling number could be absent (when originating or transit switches suppress calling number from setup messages) or presentation of calling number is restricted. But there is overwriting service for restricted nubers. If Called subscriber is provisioned to that feature - number will be presented regardless calling subscriber restricted its presentation or not.
Usually operators dont provide such service to subcribers, but to vip and others...

hi.
1. the calling party can hide its number
2. in some case when some one calling from the console of the switch (pstn or mobile switch etc..), its number is not shown..
