hello,
i downlaoded new lirbaries i.e of 130nm tehc, earlier i was using 0.18um tech, so what changes should i make after downloading the libraries......as the SoC encounter is not taking up the new libraries.....(after giving rgt path)?
pls reply soon.
thanks,
Prasad
Added after 2 hours 17 minutes:
following r the lines which i doubt for 2 lef files of diff tech
0.18um lef file
TECH LIB NAME :tsmc18
TECH FILE NAME: techfile.cds
$ID:tsmc18_6lm.lef,v 1.10 2002-08-07 09:14:40-07 slb Exp $
0.13um lef file
TECH LIB NAME: tsmc13fsg
$ID: tsmc13fsg_8lm_tech.lef,v 1.4 2004-10-29 16:24:09-07 prakash Exp $
now 1. TECH FILE NAME is missing in 0.13um and whats prakash? in the file supplied by foundary?
should i change it to slb?
if any other suggestion r welcome.
thanks,
Prasad

hello Shinde,
I am not sure if my suggestion would help, but its general practice that wen were we update with new tech we haveto run a script . For example with cadence virtuoso if r shifting from 130 to 90 thn apart form the required libs we should also run a script ( switch) .
I am though not very much sure if we haveto do this for all tool , but for cadence with unicad, we generally do itt here. please let me know if I am wrong as i am also at learing stage

i dont think so for libraies we need to run any script , anyway i was able to pull up design with new libraries.. just in this new tech they had divided the lef file.........into 2..
thanks,
Prasad
