can anyone answer ........what exactly this mean

SRAM 256 * 8 ;
2114 * 96 ; its a memory size or the area....??

Hi Prasad .

SRAM 256 * 8 - here 256 = no. of addressable locations .
8 = No. 0f bits stored per address .

If u multiply both u get size of the memory .

256*8
means SRAM consists of 256 rows with each row consisting of 8 bits. So the RAM size is 2k(256*8 ) with 8 bit (2^8=256) address lines and data line is 8 bit.

how to draw layout 256 * 8 sram...............?
i have already drawn layout for 1bit sram is that i need to istantiate 2048 times for 256 * 8 sram...??
