Post26 Jun 2006 2:28   Help--About the cost of one chip?

Hi,
Till now, I'm implementing a SoC chip which is small about 300K gates! In order to reduce the cost mainly the production cost and testing fees and other related, some redundant logic must be gotten rid of. However the chip area and its pads must be compatible with the original one (in fact, this chip is pad-limited so that the die area will not be eliminated although the area for the logics are reduced now!).

Can anybody tell me or better list the detailed cost for the different stages?

Thansk in advance!

You just consider one part of whole cost. The cost mainly contains:
1 manufacture cost(depend on chip die size)
2 package(depend on chip pad number and packege type)
3 Scan test(depend on chip scan chains length and number)
4 Function test(depend on chip function complexity)
