I need to do some machenic tasks with SoC Encounter, such as changing some pad locations and then perform analysis. I wonder what kind of script can do this job, SKILL? Can Perl do the job too? If someone can point out some examples, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
as I know, Encounter doesn't support SKILL. You can use Tcl-Skripts or if you want to access the internal database --> it should be possible to use the OpenAccess C-interface.
