Help! Ordering samples from Microchip.

Hi,

I ordered some samples from Microchip. I have some questions.

What are the qualifications for ordering samples from Microchip? (Do you have to work for certain company related to Microchip?)

How much can I order for sample? How frequently?

Thanks.

Help! Ordering samples from Microchip.

I got their rfid chips but not directly - thorugh arrow .
It was not hard to get them as far as microchips does know arrow well . Try to order via distributor they have less restriction in sample ordering than ordinary users or small companies .

Well, somehow I did not finish the sample order because I was not sure I was elligible.

I don't understand what you mean by ordering samples through distributer. Do distributers also give out free samples?

Hi mathgeek

What was the error message that you got while ordering? I have ordered 16f88 and 18f452 and got it directly from them.
There is a restriction that there has to be a time gap of 40 days between two sample order sessions.

Also you may also get an error "generic ISP" this usually happens while using broadband (it happens to me). I use dialup while ordering samples.

I ordered samples from, microchip before 10 months. I got a confirmation letter from microchip that your order has been despatched from wherehouse, for further communication regarding this order you can contact the distributor. actually I don't know distributor. and yet I didn't get any information abt it.

NB: Even though microchip despatched samples, you will not get it , if you are in INDIA. it's not because import restrictions.................. hope you got it.

microchip will give the despatch details and the way bill no so you can track the shipment
