I saw several DVB tuner and I'm confused by the power consumption.
The Power consumption can range from 200mW to 1000mW between
different parts. I don't know why? And, what makes this difference??
Anybody has the idea?

it will depened on the chips power consumption , if the tuner was a single chip or multichip design , and if there are any discreet circuits and so on

There are DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T and DVB-H.
1) Different systems conver different frequency band, different wideband design needs different power comsumption;
2) Different systems have different consumption requirement.
3) Different systems have different system specs, such as DVB-T/H use OFDM modulation, so fractional-N synthesizer is needed, which must increase the consumption, but DVB-T/H must control its power consumption.
4) Also different package process can affect the consuption.

We can see the generic silicon tuner for DVBT, the power consumption can
be high as 1W. But DVBH consumes power can be as low as 300mW for continous
mode.
DVBH tuner can be used for DVBT, so they should no much difference in terms
of specifictation. but what makes the so much different power consumpiton?

The DVBT have 6MHz, 7MHz and 8MHz bandwidth for option. but the DVBH have samller bandwith for TV in mobile phone.
All in all, the power difference is tradeoff in many aspects and depend on the solution.

rficd: DVB-H Does NOT have a smaller bandwidth but is still using the normal 6, 7 or 8 MHz only the coding is more powerfull and hence the user throughput is lower. More coding is done for mobile operation only.
