08 Apr 2006 21:44 Bussiness question |
|
|
|
Hi all,
Exactly, after concluding that the hired job is a matter of time-consuming in vain !!, I am thinking in finding some solutions that electric engineer " Power / Machine & control " can do for his own , in a simple way.
The most difficult problem I face is not a technical one, it is in how can I sell the product I do? If I were subjected to make a whole product,.
One friend told me to work in producing small "feeding" products, that every industry or home needs….
Please, share opinions about "finding buyers!!"

SA Mostafa,
Well I'm not very good at business, I'm an academic guy "till now " But I do have a friend that had your same thoughts and ideas I suppose.
He started by designing circuitry for a private office first, and while that he searched for the type of market he could work for. Then he just took his chances and started on his own.
He started by working on designing control systems for restaurants (little buttons beside each table to help customers call the waiters) and by making fire alarm circuits and systems. Nowadays he's working on networked systems designing them and troubleshooting them for the same category of curtomers I mentioned.
I'll try to contact you with more details soon ISA.
Salam, and good luck.

Here is a link for the management course instructed in MIT, I guess you will like it

I enjoyed the R&D management lecture especially.
Salam for now.

What you ask is the foundation of Adam Smith’s capitalism. If marketing comes to mind, don’t bother – that is just the tip of the iceberg. How to compel one to buy your product is the most difficult and most profitable job in the world. IMHO it is the key to modern capitalism. All else is trivial detail. You have just hit the bull’s eye – unfortunately there is no easy answer. I agree with the gentlemen suggesting the MIT course although your question is more related to business than to technology.
I would look into a business course - but that's just me
