is there any possibility of improving Slew rate of a op-amp IC 741

IMPROVING SLEW RATE

Hi electronics_kumar!

There are only two ways of improving the slew rate in an opamp.
One is to increase the bias current and the other is to reduce the compensating capacitance.

We certainly cannot alter the bias currents. And since 741 is internally compensated, you are pretty much stuck with whatever it gives!

the device is already made so it can not be changed

Hi Kumar,

Why don't you try a more recent op amp. Most of them have the same pin out, so they will just plug into your circuit. TLC081, OP07, I think, both have the same pinout, and better slew rate, if I'm not mistaken. (You should check the data sheets.)

Regards,
Robert

By Using operational mirror amplifier, thhe slew rate is almost null. You can ask your analog teacher for this. It is not taught commonly but is very esay to implement.

Operational Mirror amplifier is technique so you can use the same IC 741.

I think it is not possible to change the slewrate of an op-amp after fabricated.

Re: IMPROVING SLEW RATE

slew rate comes with the amp there is practically nothing to inprove on it a 741 if you try to slew faster then you will have the side effect of delay. you want improve it buy a dif amp some are totaly pin for pin compatable. to tell you the truth this guy is very slow to begin with.
