pointers on c rapidshare

Best thing to do is use Let us C by Yashwant kanethkar
and start typing in the programs given in the book to a compiler.(Turbo C will be good for beginners).
After you acquire a feel of the language go for comprhensive books like Dietel &Dietel.
Also keep kernighan and richie's classic standard book with you for reference.

c programming: a modern approach + rapidshare

Santoshalagawadi,
The calssic text, and still the best in my opinion is "The C Language" by Kernighan and Richie. Dennis Richie is the inventor of the language. The book is very accessible to beginners, and serves as a good reference for experts. If it's not in this book, it's not worth knowing Smile

Kral

you can start with example programs given with any C compiler. Like Turb C. Dont start with advance development suit like VC, it will confuse you.

understanding pointers in c rapidshare

First get some knowledge abt C using crash courses like learn C in bla bla days. Then go in for "The C Programming Language" by Dennis Ritchie(The founder of C) and Brian W Kernigham.
It is a very good book to understand any concept.Pointers part is "the Best".

Try
Jesse Liberty.
"SAMS Teach yourself C++ in 21 Days."

To me, it explains everything nicely.

Best regards.

c programming a modern approach rapidshare

I would also reccomend actually buying a physical copy of a book. E-books can be hard to learn from when the subject matter is on the same screen.

For a compiler I recommend bloodshed dev c++ v4
http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html
Remember to get version 4 not 5... 5 is buggy.

As for books, I would simply try one of those 'C for dummies' or 'Learn C in X days' books. They're usually pretty easy.

Remember, when programming something from a lesson plan; try changing things around and see what they do. It will enhance your understanding on an order of magnitude.
