13 Feb 2006 0:03 icl8038 replacement

RS Components and Farnel-Newark have discontinued the stock for ICL8038. Therefore need to find a replacement for the IC. Pls advise an equivalent or better IC... Thanks.

Probably the closest equivalent would be the MAX038 IC: http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/MAX038.pdf
The output frequency can be controlled over a frequency range of 0.1Hz to 20MHz, plus some other new features, however, this is not pin-to-pin replacement ..
