Finite Element Method

Hello,

Can anyone please suggest me a basic and good book or some proper resources for understanding the basics of Finite element method used for mesh modelling etc.

Thanks

Finite Element Method

Thank you elf, andrew and hamidr for those refrences. I will look up in the library which of them are available and which i find suitable for self.

hamidr, thank you for that offer. If I need I'll definately let you know.

Re: Finite Element Method

i wouldn't doubt that Numerical Techniques in Electromagnetics, Second Edition has many errors. i've used elements of electromagnetics and fundamentals of electric circuits, both by sadiku, and they have many errors. even solution manual and textbook have different answers in some cases.

hi elf61
for example chapter 3 Finite difference methods
in this chapter several error but this book is very powerful useful.

Finite Element Method

you can take a look on books and papers on FDTD (finite difference time domain) or FDFD (-- frequency-)

Re: Finite Element Method

I think "Introduction to the Finite Element
Method in Electromagnetics" by Anastasis C. Polycarpou is the best for beginner of FEM.

Finite Element Method

I agree with dee25pak. I have Sadiku and found it to be pretty hardcore. Also, I wasted 2 days of math because of stupid errors. Start with Polucarpou and step up if you need to
