i want to implement FM output by FPGA

but i don't know write which data into LUT

such as if we use the formula "cos[0:2*pi/2^N:2*PI]" to implement cos output

but now it's FM output

so i don't know the formula

anybody can help me?

LUTs in the FPGAs can be used only for Digital Computations.

For handling sine functions there is a algorithm called CORDIC which stands for CO-ordinate Rotation for Digital Computing.

This algorithm is used in DDFS- Direct Digital Frequency Synthezisers for the generation of sin wave and i have read that it is also used in Calculators for sine computations.

U can google and get a lot of information about this algorithm. It has a wide application in software radio.

I hope u won't get frustrated on seeing trignometric equations. I am attaching a file having some explaination about this algorithm.
