I have changed signal name in ModelSim but when I recompiled, it restore to default name.
Can I keep modified name?

did u change it in the hdl file or in the wave.do file ?

I changed it in wave properties->Display Name.

If you want to change the name of a certain signal and make this change permenant , do change the name in the HDL ( verilog or VHDL ) file.
